Diagnodent
The DIAGNOdent, by KaVo, is used as an adjunctive aid to caries detection. The DIAGNOdent measures the amount of reflected light on a tooth and compares it to a normal portion of enamel in the patient. This helps the dentist decide if a cavity needs to be filled or just watched. It has been shown to be over 90% accurate and has received the ADA Seal of Approval .
